Interdicted headmasters of GHANASCO and Fijai SHS reinstated

The move follows the findings and recommendations of investigative committee for Fijai SHS and the Ghana Senior High School submitted to the GES

The interdicted headmasters of Ghana Senior High School (GHANASCO) in the Northern Region and Fijai Senior High School in the Western Region have been reinstated, an official statement has said.

The move follows the findings and recommendations of investigative committees for Fijai SHS and the Ghana Senior High School submitted to the GES.

Douglas Haruna Yakubu and the senior housemaster of GHANASCO Seibu Fuseini were asked to step aside last month after a widely circulated video showed students using toilet cubicles as dormitories in the school.

Kenneth Agbomadze, on the other hand, was also interdicted last month for allegedly collecting illegal fees at Fijai Senior High School.

However, a statement issued by the GES on Tuesday (9 May), commended various stakeholders for their support and co-operation in resolving the issue.

“Management wishes to announce that it has reviewed the reports of the investigative committee for Fijai Senior High School and Ghana Senior High and duly noted the finding and recommendations.”

“Accordingly, Kenneth Agbomadze (headmaster Fijai SHS Sekondi), Douglas Haruna Yakubu (Headmaster Ghana Senior High, Tamale) and Seibu Fuseini (senior housemaster Ghana Senior High, Tamale) have been reinstated forthwith,” the GES statement said.
