The service has, however, earmarked some diversions to facilitate movement of motorists in the capital

The police have announced road closures in parts of the capital, Accra, ahead today’s (3 February) Extraordinary Summit of ECOWAS Heads of State.

A statement issued by the police on Wednesday said the affected roads include  the Jubilee Lounge (KIA) to Liberation Road at Opeibea and Liberation Road from the Airport traffic light through the Independence Avenue at National Theatre traffic light.

Other roads to be affected include Kempinski Hotel to National Theatre Road on Independence Avenue through Ako Adjei.

The Police say the roads will be opened immediately after the event is concluded.
