Yagaba-Kubori: Sports Minister launches educational fund to support law and medical students

The move is to assist poor but brilliant students who want to study law and medicine at top universities in the country

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Yagaba-Kubori who doubles as the Minister of Youth and Sports, Mustapha Ussif has launched an educational endowment fund to support students who will be offered admission to any of the tertiary institutions in Ghana to study law and medicine.

The minister has, therefore, tasked his constituents to disseminate the information so that qualified students in the constituency apply for the scholarships.

The Mamprugu Moaduri District currently has no hospital nor a medical doctor to enhance quality health delivery in the area. This has resulted in a countless number of referral cases to the Upper East and Northern Regions to access quality healthcare.

The situation has triggered the MP to use part of his common fund to pay all the school fees of those who will be offered admission to study medicine and law in the Yagaba-Kubori constituency of the North East Region.

He promised to use his portion of the MPs Common Fund to assist qualified students to study without any hindrance.

The educational fund was launched during a bi-annual homecoming in the Mamprugu Moaduri District dubbed: ā€œSons and Daughters of Mamprugu Moaduri Districtā€.
