West Mamprusi: Two injured as rainstorm destroys 30 houses in Janga

At least 30 houses have been destroyed after a rainstorm in Janga in the West Mamprusi Municipality of the North East Region, rendering several residents homeless.

Two individuals got injured at a game centre, medical officials have confirmed.

The Sunday incident, which lasted over an hour destroyed provision stores, drugstores, container kiosks, and other structures.

Some of the victims who spoke to Asaase News bemoaned that they do not have a place to lay their heads after the havoc.

The affected victims, including a 95-year-old woman whose house was also ripped off, are appealing to the government to come to their aid.
