“We have reached a verdict on all counts,” jurors in Diddy’s trial

According to CNN, the jury handed a note to the judge reading, "We have reached a verdict on all counts." During the trial, which lasted more than a month, prosecutors called nearly three dozen witnesses across 29 days of testimony

Jurors have reached a verdict on all five counts in Sean “Diddy” Combs‘ closely watched federal racketeering and sex trafficking trial.

Previously, jurors said they had reached a verdict on four of the five counts but remained deadlocked on the racketeering charge. But early on Wednesday, 2 July, jurors told the judge they had reached a complete verdict.

According to CNN, the jury handed a note to the judge reading, “We have reached a verdict on all counts.”

During the trial, which lasted more than a month, prosecutors called nearly three dozen witnesses across 29 days of testimony.

Defense attorneys did not call any witnesses, instead using cross-examination to undermine the prosecution’s case. Combs had been charged with sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution.

The prosecutors’ case was centered around their attempt to portray Combs as the leader of a criminal racket. They further alleged that the Bad Boy Records founder forced or coerced women into performing in extended and repeated sex acts with male sex workers.

Two of the key witnesses for prosecutors that spent the most time on the stand were two of Combs’ exes: singer Casandra “Cassie” Ventura and a woman who testified under the pseudonym “Jane.”

The two testified about the sexual encounters known as “freak offs” and “hotel nights.” Ventura notably alleged that Combs once raped her near the end of their 11-year relationship, which concluded in 2018.

Diddy Combs still faces several civil suits accusing him of sexual misconduct, which he has repeatedly denied.
