“We almost landed in the ocean”, Sarkodie on Delta Air Lines experience

The two-time VGMA artist of the year winner lamented about how poorly the airline handled the devastating situation by not communicating and updating passengers about the situation on the ground

Multiple award-winning Ghanaian artist, Sarkodie has narrated his near-death experience on the Delta Air Lines flight, which had an emergency landing on an island in Portugal on Saturday (9 September).

Sharing his ordeal in a Facebook post on Sunday (10 September), Sarkodie said he missed out on his event at Detroit, in the Michigan State of USA due to the unfortunate development.

Sarkodie indicated that his post was not to tarnish the image of any business entity but to call for the right things to be done to save the lives of passengers.

“So, I missed my event in Detroit due to Delta Air Lines doing an emergency landing on an island in Portugal yesterday…

“No compensation nothing and our bags still on the island. Moving forward I wouldn’t want to tarnish a business but hopefully they see to this problem and resolve it,” part of the post reads.

It was unfortunate but I know these things happen so I wasn’t trippin even though they communicated poorly and didn’t have the courtesy to update us on exactly what was happening,”
