Asaase launches breast cancer awareness campaign

This October, Asaase 99.5 Accra in partnership with Sonotech Diagnostics Center, is delivering life-saving care to three affected persons

Asaase 99.5 Accra has teamed up with Sonotech Medical and Diagnostic Centre to launch a breast cancer awareness campaign, providing free health screening and treatment for three breast cancer patients.

Also, Asaase will be out with a branded pink van to raise awareness for breast cancer and provide free health screening at various campuses, markets, streets, and offices throughout the month of October.

Three people in the early stage of breast cancer will receive full treatment at the Sonotech Centre.

Every 13 minutes, a woman dies from breast cancer. In 2022, an estimated 43,250 women and 530 men will succumb to the illness, according to official reports.

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the world affecting at least 1 in 8 women globally, but early detection saves lives.

This campaign is proudly brought to you by Asaase Radio with support from Sonotech. Make the move, get screened, and let’s fight this together.
