At least three people have died in a gory accident at Nobewam near Ejisu on the Accra-Kumasi highway, the police have confirmed.
Eight others who sustained various degree of injuries have been rushed to the Agogo Hospital for medical attention.
Eyewitnesses said the accident involved a sprinter bus which collided head-on with a trailer truck on Friday dawn.
Emergency services had moved in to transport the dead to the morgue at the Agogo Hospital in the Ashanti Region.
There are fears the death toll could rise.
