Wendy Shay to be flown to Germany for medical care, says management

Narrating how the accident happened, Bullet said a tipper truck carrying stones and driving at top speed hit the back of Wendy’s car, causing her to hit her head on the dashboard

The record label and management of Wendy Shay, RuffTown Music has revealed that they are making preparations to fly the Uber hitmaker to Germany to seek further medical care following her accident on Sunday, (10 September).

The CEO of RuffTown Records, Ricky Nana Agyeman popularly known as Bullet made the disclosure in an interview with Hitz FMs Andy Dosty Friday (15 September).

He said the decision to fly Wendy Shay outside the country has become necessary following the severity of the accident and the need to ensure the best of medical care for or her speed recovery.

“It was very severe. It was extremely severe. She has spent five days in the hospital. Right now, what we are planning to do is to fly her to Germany for further medical checks.”

“We are going to see the police this morning. We have been there, and they said they have to test the car and everything. We hope they get done soon,” he stated.

He noted that Wendy, who was with her personal assistant at that time, was returning home after a video shoot for her new song when the accident occurred.

“Imagine your car being hit by a tipper truck with gravels and stones. It was extremely severe. When you see how heavy the tipper truck was and how it hit her from behind, it was serious.

“She was getting off the highway trying to branch. There’s no way a tipper truck can hit a Jeep Wrangler from behind and the person will survive it,” she said.

Bullet noted that he was in Kumasi promoting Wendy Shay’s new song at the time when he heard of the accident and hurriedly rushed back.

The news of Wendy Shay’s accident on the midnight of Sunday sent waves of shock and concern among music enthusiasts and her fans.

Her management would later ease the worries of the public when they issued a statement on Monday, (11 September), that she was responding to treatment.

However, it appears the latest development to fly her to Germany for further medical treatment indicates all may not be too well with the singer as earlier suggested.
