E-Levy: ARYN demands proper representation for job creation
The youth group of the Ashanti region has urged the government to develop a roadmap explaining how the resources generated from the E-Levy will be allocated
Ashanti Regional Youth Network (ARYN), an amalgamation of youth groups in the Ashanti Region has urged the government not to exclude the youth of the region from the benefits that the E-Levy will accrue especially, in the area of job creation.
According to them, a majority of the youth in the region have embraced the governments’ drive towards digitisation and financial inclusion through a cashless economy and therefore, they must not be denied their due.
They further urged the government to release a roadmap explaining how the resources generated from the E-Levy will be allocated.
A statement released by the youth network said: “We are demanding from the Finance Ministry and for that matter the government of our dear country, a blueprint detailing how the generated levies will be disbursed.
“It is of interest to the youth of this country to be aware of the percentage allocated for the youth development and a further breakdown of programmed action areas leading to the full realisation of job creation and entrepreneurial development.”
