Ghana’s hip-life legend Reggie Rockstone has acknowledged the influence of his longtime friend and colleague Adjetey Sowah, a former global dancing champion.

According to the hip-life Grandpapa, “That man (Adjetey Sowah) is the blueprint. That man taught me how to make money.”

“Without Adjetey Sowah nightlife as we know it in Accra would not be what it is. That is my boss, everyone has someone that they learn from, that’s one of my bosses,” he said.

“I am the only living being who has beaten that man in dance and even with that winning, it’s debatable. But nobody has ever beaten him.”

Rockstone added that Adjetey Sowah showed him how to count money, “he showed me how to make business”.

“He taught me how to take advance money when we are going for a show. If he got paid, he made sure that I got paid. It was a really beautiful time.”

“This is what made Adjetey special. Adjetey knew the difference between friendship and business. He was one of those guys who always believed that the show must go on. We are like a family. And by the way, we did the moonwalk before Michael Jackson.
