Over 90 kilos of cocaine seized at a mobile customs brigade in Senegal

A mobile customs brigade in Senegal, seized 82 packets of cocaine weighing 91.84 kg during a roadside operation on Sunday (31 March)

A mobile customs brigade of Koumpentoum, a subdivision of Tambacounda, a region in the south-east of Senegal, seized 82 packets of cocaine weighing 91.84 kg during a roadside operation on Sunday (31 March).

The cocaine seized is estimated to be about 7 billion CFA francs.

Two foreign convoys driving the vehicle carrying the drugs have been taken into custody, and the mobile customs brigade of Koumpentoum continues the fight against drug trafficking in the country.

The director of Customs, Dr Mbaye Ndiaye, reminded the customs agents of the need to control the flow of goods to avoid security threats.
