VIDEO: Church of Pentecost deacon kidnapped after robbery in South Africa

Ghana's high commission in SA says it is working with the church in cooperation with the police to ensure the speedy release of the deacon

A Church of Pentecost deacon at the Johannesburg branch, South Africa has been kidnapped, a statement from Ghana’s High Commission in that country has said.

“Members of the congregation of Johannesburg branch of the Ghanaian Church of Pentecost were robbed of their valuables at gun point during a church service on 29 October.”

“The mission is presently working with church in cooperation with the South Africa Police Service (SAPS) to ensure speedy and safe released and return to the victim’s family,” the statement added.

In a viral video online, the deacon in the middle of the service was interrupted by the robbers with guns.
