Police arrest man for producing fake driver’s licences at his residence

A statement issued by the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) on Thursday (6 April) said the suspect is currently assisting the police with investigation

The police have arrested a 40-year-old man, Philip Oteng Owusu Ansah, for producing fake driver’s licences and roadworthy certificates at his residence.

A statement issued by the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) on Thursday (6 April) said the suspect is currently assisting the police with investigation.

ā€œThe suspect is alleged to have been involved in the production of counterfeit driver’s licences, roadworthy certificates and other related services from his residence,” the statement said.

ā€œUpon conducting an immediate search of his residence, law enforcement officials found one Eminence card printing machine, a hard drive, two pen drives, a card reader, an Apple MacBook Laptop, an HP Monitor, 155 blank cards, four set of ribbons, three driver licences, and specimens of holograms, for both roadworthy certificates and driver’s licences stored on his pen drive,” the DVLA statement said.
