Ghanaian music stars and South African sensation to light up 13th African Games opening ceremony

The ceremony marks the official start of the games, which will see athletes from across Africa compete in various sporting disciplines from 8–23 March, 2024

The highly anticipated 13th African Games is set to kick off on Friday (8 March), with a vibrant opening ceremony featuring a stellar lineup of music and dance performances.

Taking centre stage at the University of Ghana (UG) Sports Stadium are renowned Ghanaian artists King Promise, Shatta Wale, Ebo Taylor, and Pat Thomas.

They will be joined by the captivating South African performer Kamo Mphela for an electrifying show starting at 3pm.
