Stonebwoy offers help to man in viral TikTok video seeking to join the military

Afro-dancehall star Stonebwoy is once again proving that music and influence can go beyond entertainment, as he extends a hand of support to a young Ghanaian whose heartfelt plea to join the country’s security services has stirred emotions online.

The young man, who has become a familiar face on TikTok, has been consistently posting videos expressing his deep desire to join any of Ghana’s security agencies—from the police to the military, immigration, or fire service.

Branding himself as “very strong,” he passionately appeals for an opportunity to serve the nation, though he admits he has yet to receive any formal response.

While many viewed the videos with a mix of admiration and concern, it was Stonebwoy’s reaction that elevated the story. The award-winning musician took to social media, expressing how deeply the videos had affected him.

“This video touch my heart,” he posted. “I would love to see his dreams come true. And I’m willing to assist him to possibly connect some dots.”

Stonebwoy, however, did not shy away from acknowledging the reality of the recruitment process. He cautioned that gaining entry into such institutions is not as simple as going viral online. “He might have to meet certain criteria to make it through,” he stated.

The gesture has ignited mixed reactions across social media. While many commended Stonebwoy for using his platform to uplift a young person’s ambition, others stressed the need for due process and merit in recruitment into Ghana’s disciplined forces.
