Stonebwoy: I’m now a student at GIMPA

Stonebwoy

The Ghanaian dancehall and Afropop musician Stonebwoy is now a student of public administration at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).

The dancehall artiste earlier cut short his education at the University of Professional Studies Accra (UPSA), where he was studying business administration, to pursue a career in music.

Speaking on Citi TV on Wednesday (3 November), Stonebwoy said he decided to pursue public administration because of his passion for the course.

“I think I am making good friends over there [GIMPA]. I contribute nicely because I think public administration is one area I would love to learn and progress – it has to do with the public,” he said.

Stonebwoy asked that systems be created to afford personalities such as himself the opportunity to return to the lecture hall to further their education.

According to him, it is the desire of many of his colleagues in the music industry to return and make a positive impact onn the development of the country, and not only through music.
