Voting starts in Ejisu by-election

Ejisu has 28 electoral areas with 206 polling stations and 106,513 registered voters were expected to cast their ballots

Voting is currently underway in the Ejisu by-election in the Ashanti Region.

The Ejisu parliamentary by-election became necessary following the sudden death ofĀ John Kumah, the MP for the area.

The constituency has 28 electoral areas with 206 polling stations and 106,513 registered voters were expected to cast their ballots

Six people are contesting the by-elections.

They are Esther Osei for the Convention Peopleā€™s Party (CPP), Kwabena Boateng for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Beatrice Boakye, for the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG) and Kwabena Owusu Aduomi, an independent candidate.

 

The rest are Fredua Agyeman Joseph, an independent candidate and Joseph Atakora, also an independent candidate.
