Hearts of Oak sign striker Isaac Mensah

The Phobians honour an April agreement by taking on the promising youngster Isaac Mensah from lower-division side in Bono East

Ghana Premier League side Accra Hearts of Oak have signed the young striker Isaac Mensah from lower-tier side Nkoranza Warriors.

The striker has signed a three-year contract after weeks of negotiations between players’ representatives and Hearts of Oak.

Hearts confirmed the news on the club’s official Twitter account.

“Accra Hearts of Oak is delighted to announce the signing of Isaac Mensah from Division One side Nkoranza Warriors. The teenage striker has signed a three-year contract at the club.”

In April, Hearts and Nkoranza Warriors reached agreement for a transfer for Mensah to join the 20-times Premier League champions. Hearts would however loan the player back to the Division One League side for one season, as part of the agreement.

It is however unclear if Hearts will loan the player to Nkoranza Warriors again, considering that the earlier loan agreement was not fully served.

Hearts have already signed three other strikers – Danjuma Kuti, Abednego Tetteh and Abdourahamane Mamane Lawali – to bolster their attack.
