GFA tasks two to write policy on women’s football
The Ghana Football Association sets up a subcommittee to work on development of the women’s game
The Ghana Football Association has tasked Naa Odofoley Nortey and Habiba Attah Forson, an Executive Council member, to come up with a comprehensive policy document on women’s football.
The GFA statement which confirmed the news said that they have two weeks to come up with a draft that will be considered and, if found to be reasonable, approved by the Executive Council.
This was confirmed by a Ghana Football Association statement which also said that the document has to be made available within two weeks.
Stronger branding
According to the GFA, the decision was taken during a meeting of the national team’s department led by Deputy General Secretary Alex Asante, the Black Queens management committee and the GFA president, Kurt E S Okraku.
The GFA hopes that the policy will fast-track the Association’s vision of improving visibility, packaging and branding.
