Sports and Recreation Minister Kofi Adams says he is not “hiding” the Black Stars’ budget for March’s World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar.
During February’s State of the Nation Address, President Mahama tasked the Sports Ministry with making all expenditures on the national team public.
However, it has now been 22 days since the games were played, and there has been no public announcement from the Ministry.
Kofi Adams says the budget will be made public before the September qualifiers against Mali and Chad.
“You will know it when the time comes,” Kofi told Channel One News.
“I’m saying that I will make it public. Has the National Team ceased playing?
“We have the next assignment in September; we have matches that we’re going to play and we will surely make it public. It will be unfair to make a draft budget public, I’m not hiding it.”
