President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has announced that his administration will take up the full cost of a medical procedure to separate conjoined twins at the Ridge Hospital in Accra.

The operation is expected to cost about GHC 15 million and it will be carried out over a period of one year. It is the first time such a surgical procedure will be undertaken in Ghana, according to health officials.
