Suspected robbers have killed a 50-year-old man near the Nabulugu-Kparigu stretch in the West Mamprusi Municipality of the North East Region in the early hours of Monday (7 March).
Identified as Amadu Yahaya, the deceased was discovered lying lifeless by his motorbike loaded with vehicle spare parts and a car battery.
Sources say the businessman from Dimong in the Kariga District of the Northern Region was attacked on his way from the North-East Region.
The police have confirmed the incident, adding the body has been deposited at the morgue for autopsy.
The West Mamprusi Municipal police commander, DSP Cosmos Awe, said initial investigations reveal Yahaya was shot.
The police say the case is under investigation.
