Afro-fusion artiste Sofie has released a new live-recorded EP, Coke Studio Sessions LA, offering an electrifying glimpse into her raw and soulful musical artistry.
The four-track project, recorded with a live band in Los Angeles, features fan favorites and a surprise cover that seamlessly blend groove-driven instrumentation with emotional storytelling.
The EP features standout performances of SUV (Live), Loading (Live), Party Pooper (Live), and a captivating rendition of Bruises off the Peach (Live cover). With Shane Njoloma on keyboard, Mahima Joshi on guitar, Shareef Addo on bass, and Brandon Stennett on drums, the dynamic ensemble delivers an authentic live experience that captures both the energy and nuance of Sofie’s evolving sound.
From the high-octane rhythms of SUV to the stripped-down introspection of Bruises off the Peach, her powerful vocal delivery, coupled with the rich instrumentation, makes Coke Studio Sessions LA a standout addition to her growing discography.
Engineered by Joseph Sestito, mixed by Ramiro Fernandez-Seoane, and mastered by Zach Pereyra, the EP balances the immediacy of live performance with studio-quality polish.
