SLTF resumes loan disbursement ahead of “No-Fee-Stress” launch

The Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) has resumed second-semester loan disbursements to tertiary students nationwide, ahead of the upcoming “No-Fee-Stress” initiative aimed at easing financial burdens on students.

As of 1 July loans have been disbursed to 19,703 students, with a focus on private tertiary institutions due to their faster academic calendars.

“The days when the Trust Fund approved students for loans it couldn’t disburse are over,” the SLTF stated.

“The revamped Fund is now working daily to fulfil its mandate of providing timely financial support to students.”

SLTF CEO Dr. Saajida Shiraz highlighted the move as a major step toward enhancing access to tertiary education in Ghana.
