Accra Hearts of Oak coach Slavko Matić has appllied to be the new Black Stars head coach.
The 46-year-old only signed a two-year deal with Hearts of Oak in October last year, but is prepared to walk away from the job.
Asaase Sports understands Matic is not bothered by the expected backlash from the Hearts Board of Directors, whom he did not inform before applying for the job.
Since taking charge of the Phobians, Slavko Matic has won six games, drawn four matches and lost twice.
The UEFA Pro Licence holder has had stints in his native Serbia, China, Qatar and Slovenia, with his last job coming at Bulgarian top flight side, Septemvri Sofia where he was in charge until October 9, 2022.
