Asaase investigating source of Shatta Wale/Stonebwoy sound clash glitches

Asaase Radio assures members of the public who had difficulty streaming the Sound Clash on Saturday night that the station and MTN are probing the source of the problem

Asaase Broadcast Company Ltd has issued a press statement following complaints by members of the public who tried unsuccessfully to tune in to a live stream of the Asaase Sound Clash on 12 September 2020 by purchasing tickets via an MTN mobile phone line.

The hotly anticipated event featured the two giants of the Ghanaian contemporary dancehall scene: Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy. Also appearing on the night were the much-respected Mz Vee and Ras Kuuku, winner of this year’s VGMA Reggae Dancehall Artist of the Year award.

The MCs for the event were DJ Seani B of BBC 1Xtra and Asaase Radio and the award-winning Root Eye.

Regrettably, a number of technical glitches made it impossible for some listeners and viewers to join in the event on the night. The company responded by making a streamed broadcast of the clash available on its Facebook page on Saturday night.
