Nana Afua Serwaa Adusei, the chief executive officer of Shecanic Auto hub, has said she was offered the opportunity to join the Wanderlust team that travelled by road from Accra to London because she volunteered to be their mechanic on the trip for free.
The Ghanaian adventurers started the expedition of driving from one continent to the other from Accra on 23 July 2023 through Aburi, Nsawam, Kumasi, Sunyani to Dormaa and then entered Cote d’Ivoire.
They were 13 people when they started but one person because of the nature of his job had to stop in Senegal and two others including Serwaa Adusei, the only female on the team dropped off in Morocco.

Speaking on the Asaase Breakfast Show on Thursday (17 August), Serwaa Adusei said “Before the trip, I sent a message to the group that I would like to service their car for free. So they asked me to jump on and come with them.”
