Meet Agnes Ofosu-Appiah, one of the architects behind ICGC’s new 5,000-seater auditorium

Ofosu-Appiah and her colleague Nana Akua Birmeh co-founded ArchXenus, Ghana’s first woman-led architecture firm, which designed the modern, 5,000-seater auditorium for ICGC in Teshie

Agnes Ofosu-Appiah, a partner at ArchXenus Company Ltd, has advised the youth not to compromise on building a good reputation as they develop their career.

Ofosu-Appiah and her colleague Nana Akua Birmeh co-founded Ghana’s first woman-led architecture firm, which designed the 5,000-seater auditorium for the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) Christ Temple in Teshie.

The state-of-the-art facility, spearheaded by Pastor Mensa Otabil, the founder of ICGC, is one of the biggest church edifices in Ghana.

Appearing on the Asaase Breakfast Show last Thursday, Ofosu-Appiah said young Ghanaians must learn to pursue excellence.

“We built the ICGC Christ Temple auditorium in Teshie, a 5,000-seater-capacity [church], though not completed. We also refurbished the Korle-Bu maternity ward,” she said.

“We have been doing small small things for the church as part of members of the project committee. So, we were known but probably not known for this scale, and thankfully we had done a project for another pastor who came to preach at Greater Works,” Ofosu-Appiah added.
