Savannah Region: NPP communications director survives motor crash

The communications director of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Savannah Region, Mohammed Issah on Monday (9 May) survived a motor crash on the Tamale-Bunjai road.

His driver, however, sustained injuries and was rushed to the Tamale Teaching Hospital for medical care.

Issah, who is eyeing the regional secretary position, was returning from a campaign trip and heading toward Bunjai in the North East Gonja District of the Savannah Region when the accident occurred, the police confirmed to Asaase News.

The motor traffic unit of the Ghana Police Service is yet to establish the cause of the crash.
