Remembrance mass for late Jerry John Rawlings slated for 12 November

Jerry John Rawlings passed away at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital on Thursday 12 November 2020 after a short illness

The family of the late president Jerry John Rawlings is expected to hold remembrance mass on Friday (12 November) as part of activities to mark the first anniversary of his passing.

A statement issued by the family on Monday said due to COVID-19 the Holy Spirit Cathedral will host “a limited number of congregants.”

“Seating will thus be on a first come, first served basis. Friends, sympathisers and members of the public are invited to participate in the remembrance mass which will commence promptly at 9am,” the statement said.

Rawlings passed on at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital on 12 November 2020 after a short illness.

REMEMBRANCE MASS TO MARK FIRST ANNIVERSARY OF THE PASSING OF PRESIDENT J.J. RAWLINGS

The family of Flt. Lt. Jerry John Rawlings, former President of the Republic of Ghana informs the general public that the first anniversary of his passing falls on Friday, November 12, 2021.

To mark the anniversary, there will be a Remembrance Mass at the Holy Spirit Cathedral, Adabraka, on the same day (November 12 2021).

Friends, sympathisers and members of the public are invited to participate in the Remembrance Mass which will commence promptly at 9am.

Attire for the occasion is white.

Due to Covid-19 requirements the Holy Spirit Cathedral will host a limited number of congregants. Seating will thus be on a first come, first served basis.
