Police deposit GHC2.5 million received from NAM1 at BoG

Nana Appiah Mensah, popularly known as NAM1 is currently facing 39 charges at the court

An amount of GHC2.5 million received from suspect Nana Appiah Mensah, popularly known as NAM1 has been deposited at the Bank of Ghana (BoG), an official statement from the police has said.

In a statement on Tuesday (24 October), the police said, “on the advice of the Office of the Attorney General, on Friday 20th October 2023, received an amount of GHC2.5 million from suspect Nana Appiah Mensah, popularly known as NAM1.”

“The said amount has been deposited in the Police Exhibit account at the Bank of Ghana (BoG) for the attention of the court.”

“The amount is part of investigations into petitions received from some customers of MenzGold Ghana Company Limited and Brew Marketing Consult Limited, currently before the Accra High Court against suspect Nana Appiah Mensah, popularly known as NAM1.”

“We would like to state that the decision on the disbursement of the money would be determined by the court,” the police statement added.
