Inflation for November 2022 hits 50.3%

According to the data from the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS), the November inflation figure is the highest figure recorded in 27 years

The year-on-year inflation rate for November 2022 was 50.3%, latest figures from the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS) has said.

This means that in the month of November 2022 the general price level was 50.3% higher than November 2021

The month-on-month inflation between October and November 2022 was 8.6%.

According to the GSS, food inflation was 55.3% compared to October’s food inflation of 43.7%. The month-on-month Food inflation was 10.4%.

Also non-food inflation was 46.5% compared to October’s non-food inflation of 37.8%.

The inflation rate for locally produced items was 48.3% while inflation for imported items was 55.1%.
