The National Service Scheme (NSS) has released rolled out service postings and deployment processes for the 2020/21 service year.
A statement signed by the executive director of the NSS, Mustapha Ussif, said a total of 86,078 eligible candidates have been posted this year.
It says registration and validation will begin at all centres across the country from Thursday 3 September, adding that the service period begins officially on Monday 7 September.
Control on numbers
“All eligible National Service personnel are therefore requested to log on to the scheme’s website on www.nss.gov.gh to check their placement and then proceed to the various user agencies to endorse their appointment letters before they book appointments online for registration and validation at designated centres in the regions,” the NSS says.
The statement further says: “Service personnel deployed to educational institutions are directed to hold on with their registration and validation until schools officially reopen.”
The NSS says this special arrangement is being implemented in response to the COVID-19 pandemic directives in order to control the number of service personnel at the registration centres.
