Paris Saint-Germain charged into the UEFA Champions League round of 16 for the 13th consecutive season with a resounding 7-0 drubbing of Stade Brestois at the Parc des Princes, confirming a commanding 10-0 aggregate victory.
Already having a 3-0 lead from the first leg, PSG did not take long to confirm their superiority. Bradley Barcola was close in the early going after some magical play by Ousmane Dembele, shooting wide of the side netting.
Brest constructed their best chance to erode PSG’s lead when Pierre Lees-Melou’s strike was hacked clear of the goal line by Marquinhos. The first came in the 20th minute when Barcola pounced on Fabian Ruiz’s excellent long ball and slot into the near corner from beyond Gregoire Coudert.
PSG doubled their lead soon after when Khvicha Kvaratskhelia netted at the far post following a clever pass from Barcola. Brest struggled to come up with a response, squandering a golden opportunity when Lees-Melou was denied by Gianluigi Donnarumma and Mama Balde could not convert the rebound into a goal.
Luis Enrique’s team maintained their pressure after halftime. Vitinha registered a sublime goal following a Ruiz layoff to leave it 3-0, and Desire Doue, who was substituted on, scored shortly later, scoring from a well-worked move by Goncalo Ramos.
PSG’s relentless attack saw Nuno Mendes tap in a fifth goal from Achraf Hakimi’s cross, and Ramos added a sixth with a delicate finish from Doue’s assist. Senny Mayulu sealed Brest’s fate with a close-range strike set up by Kvaratskhelia.
The defeat marked Brest’s fourth loss to PSG this season, with at least three goals conceded each time. PSG, now unbeaten in 32 matches against Brest (W24 D8), march into the next round, where they will face either Liverpool or Barcelona.
