Prudential Bank donates to Muslims in Tamale to commemorate Eid

Prudential Bank Tamale Branch, on behalf of the bank, has donated GHC10,000 to the Kukuo Laststop Jummah Mosque in Tamale to support Muslims in the area in commemoration of this year’s Eid-ul-Fitr.

The three-member delegation led by the branch manager, Sumaila Mahama, made the donation to the mosque through the chief of Wurishie, Chief Adam Lansah and the imam of the mosque, Adam Nayi Alhassan, at a brief ceremony in Tamale.

Presenting the cheque on behalf of the bank, Mahama said the bank cherished the relationship it has with Muslims in the country and that the donation was a token to appreciate them.

“We thank you for your warm reception. This is Prudential Bank’s little way of supporting the Muslim ummah in celebrating Eid after the holy month of Ramadan,” he said.

Receiving the donation, the Chief of Wurishie, Chief Adam Lansah, thanked the bank for the donation, saying it will be put to good use for the benefit of all. “We thank you for your generosity. The ummah is grateful. I encourage all members of our mosque to make Prudential Bank your preferred bank for all your banking needs.

The Imam also offered prayers for the branch, the bank and the management for the kind gesture.

The branch manager was accompanied by Inusah Yakubu, a Relationship Officer and Baba Mohammed Saani, deputy operations manager, all at the branch in Tamale.

Earlier during the Ramadan season, Prudential Bank, as part of efforts to offer support and stand in solidarity with the Muslim communities and customers within its branch catchment areas, made a series of donations to mark this year’s Ramadan.

The bank donated care packages for 100 valued retail and 30 corporate Muslim customers across selected branches. The care package included a variety of breakfast items to support the customers during the fast.
