President Mahama hails Kwahu business community, vows to reset Ghana’s economy

President Mahama lauded the ingenuity and tenacity of the business community, saying it underscores the vast potential within Ghana’s private sector to contribute meaningfully to national development

President John Dramani Mahama has lauded the entrepreneurial drive of the Kwahu business community following his participation in this year’s Easter festivities in the Eastern Region.

In a social media post reflecting on his three-day stay, President Mahama described the experience as “truly refreshing,” adding that his engagements with business executives, CEOs and heads of financial institutions were inspiring.

“I wish to extend a special thank you to the Kwahu business executives, CEOs, and heads of various financial institutions and other agencies,” he said.

The President also praised the ingenuity and tenacity of the business community, saying it underscores the vast potential within Ghana’s private sector to contribute meaningfully to national development.

“We should remain impressed by the entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to fostering a thriving local economy. The energy and ambition I observed reaffirmed my belief in the potential of Ghanaian businesses,” he said.

He further indicated that his interactions and networking engagements in Kwahu have bolstered his resolve to “reset Ghana” and champion policies that will unlock economic opportunities.

“We need sound economic policies that empower entrepreneurs, unlock opportunities, and bring real meaning to their success,” he stated.

President Mahama is seeking re-election in the 7 December 2024 polls and has consistently championed what he calls a “Ghana Reset Agenda,” aimed at revamping the economy, creating jobs, and restoring confidence in the business sector.
