GAG president honoured with lifetime achievement award

The event held on Friday at the Hilton Long Island in New York, honoured Dr Kwame Danquah at the U.S President Volunteer Service Awards 2022

The president of the Ghana Advocacy Group (GAG), forensic psychologist and fraud investigator, Kwame Boakye Danquah has been honoured with a lifetime achievement award.

The event which was held on Friday (2 December) at the Hilton Long Island in New York, honoured Dr Danquah at the U.S President Volunteer Service Awards (PVSA) 2022.

Boakye Danquah was recognised for his role in spearheading change and impacting the lives of people in the diaspora. Prior to his award, he was awarded the Gold Medal Award under the same scheme.

Speaking at the gala, he expressed his profound gratitude to the PVSA for the recognition of his hard work.

“I am encouraged to champion initiatives that bring about positive societal change and impact Ghana and the African continent,” he said.

The PVSA is a civil award bestowed by the President of the United States, founded by the President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation to recognize and acknowledge individuals, families, and organizations within the American society whose actions and services positively impact their communities and those around them.

Boakye Danquah is a business magnate with companies in tourism, health, insurance, media, and communications industries.

He is the first Ghanaian in the United States to use pageantry to promote Ghana’s Culture and Tourism potential in the diaspora. He was presented the highest award given to a Ghanaian in the U.S by Lieutenant General Joseph Henry Smith, former Ghana to U.S ambassador, for his outstanding work in promoting Ghana’s Culture and Tourism through the mediums such as his online radio station, Ghana Tourist Coach Radio.

Recognitions

An appreciation award was given to him by friends of Aisha Braveboy Campaign Office early 2022 for his commitment and continuous support of Honorable State Attorney Aisha Braveboy Campaign.

In 2018, he was awarded an Executive Citation at a Men Impact Change 2018 Business and Legacy Building Honoree by the Mayor of City of Baltimore for his outstanding service and dedication to his communities.
