Oti NPP women’s wing donates to Worawora hospital

The gesture is aimed at supporting the daily operations of the facilities and to appreciate the staff and management for their tireless contributions to the lives of the residents

The Oti Regional women’s wing of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has supported the Worawora hospital and the Dambai health center to mark this year’s International Women’s Day.

The donation was led by its organiser, Alice Mensah, and her deputy, Janet Adade, together with the Biakoye women’s wing,

Speaking to Asaase News, Mensah said, the gesture is aimed at supporting the daily operations of the facilities and to appreciate the staff and management for their tireless contributions to the lives of the residents of the region.

Items donated include tom brown, liquid soap, toilet rolls, mops and buckets, tissue paper, Bine-20 floor scrubbing soap and some refreshment for the health workers.

Mensah called for equal opportunities to enable women to occupy some positions in parliament and other institutions. She appealed to parents to stop giving out their young daughters to early marriage and child trafficking.

The administrator of the Worawora hospital, Kingsley Essah, received the items on behalf of the hospital. He thanked the women’s wing for the kind gesture. He said it will go a long way to help them to discharge their duties effectively. He called on other institutions and philanthropists to emulate the NPP women.

The physician assistant for the Dambai health center, Elijah, expressed appreciation to the NPP women and appealed to them to support the facility regularly so that it can continuously deliver good healthcare services to its clients.
