Police invite Abronye DC over Mahama coup plot comment

A statement issued by the police on Tuesday (15 February) has asked Abronye DC to report to the Police Headquarters by 4pm to assist with investigations

Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye DC, the Bono regional chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has been invited by the police for alleging that former president John Mahama plans to stage a coup.

A statement issued by the police on Tuesday (15 February) has asked Abronye DC to report to the police headquarters by 4pm today to assist with investigations.

“The attention of the Police Service was drawn to a publication in which Kwame Baffoe Alias Abronye DC is alleged to have said that former President John Mahama is allegedly planning to stage a coup.

“The Accra Regional Police Command has invited Kwame Baffoe to report to the regional headquarters by 4pm today to assist investigation failure of which he will be arrested,” the police statement said.
