Ghana’s COVID-19 cases hit 7,303 with recoveries 2,412

Ghana’s novel Coronavirus cases have risen to 7,303.

The update indicates that 186 new cases have been recorded in the country as at 27th May, 2020.

According to the Ghana Health Service’s website, 2,412 persons who tested positive for COVID-19 earlier have also recovered.

This means that 95 more persons have recovered since the last update. However, the number of deaths still remain at 34.
Per the update, the Greater Region has recorded 140 of the new cases, Central Region, 23, Ashanti Region, 14, and the Eastern Region, 9.

Health officials in Ghana have so far conducted 205,890 COVID-19 tests.

Regional breakdown

On a regional basis, the Greater Accra Region is still leading the chart with 5,148 cases, followed by the Ashanti and Central Regions with 1,099 and 334 cases respectively.
