“It is with great pride and humility that I stand before you to accept Nissan’s appointment of Japan Motors as their local assembler in Ghana,” he said
“For those who don’t know, our appointment was not automatic or easy, Nissan reviewed the applications of seven interested companies and subjected them to due diligence before they decided on selecting japan motors”, Kalmoni added.
He revealed that the plant will be commissioned in the first quarter of next year to help contribute to making Ghana’s quest of becoming an automobile hub in West Africa a reality.
The managing director of Japan Motors Limited said the firm will create additional forty new jobs.
The firm will begin with the assembling of Nissan Navara, and one passenger car model with the possibility of subsequently adding an SUV.
