Patoranking Foundation launches US$500,000 tech scholarship

Applications for the scholarship will open on Saturday 1 June 2024 and prospective students are encouraged to apply through the foundation’s official website

Nigerian afrobeat and dancehall, musician Patoranking under his foundation, the Patoranking Foundation has announced the launch of a groundbreaking US$500,000 tech scholarship aimed at empowering young African talent.

Partnering with ALX Africa where 40 successful candidates will receive a scholarship for an ALX programme, as well as a paid internship opportunity with one of the world’s top tech companies.

The scholarship programme is designed to address the growing demand for skilled tech professionals in Africa and to bridge the gap in access to quality education and training in this field.

Eligible candidates will have the chance to receive comprehensive funding for their studies, including tuition, accommodation, and access to cutting-edge learning materials and technology.

Speaking at the launch event, Patoranking, emphasised the foundation’s commitment to fostering education and innovation. “This scholarship is more than just financial aid; it’s an investment in the future of Africa. We want to nurture the next generation of tech leaders who will drive economic growth and technological advancements across the continent,” he stated.

Applications for the scholarship will open on Saturday 1 June 2024 and prospective students are encouraged to apply through the foundation’s official website.

The Patoranking Foundation aims to award scholarships to 100 deserving students over the next five years, creating a ripple effect that will benefit communities and industries across Africa.
