Oti Region: Two arrested for buying ammunition

The two, Godwin Kpodo Agbevitor alias landlord and Samuel Agbesi also known as Emma, are currently in police custody

At least two suspects are in Police custody in the Oti Region for allegedly buying G-3 ammunition, authorities have said.

The two, Godwin Kpodo Agbevitor alias landlord and Samuel Agbesi also known as Emma, were also found with leaves suspected to be Indian hemp.

A statement issued by the Oti Regional Police Command said the suspects are on remand and are to appear in court.

“The Police at Worawora in the Oti Region have arrested two suspects for allegedly buying suspected G-3 ammunition and possession of wraps of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp at Kwamekrom Abdulkordzi, a suburb of Worawora on Monday 22 March 2021,” the statement said.

The regional police command has advised residents in the region to volunteer information on criminal activities to the police.
