The Ghana Police Service says it will deploy personnel with body-worn cameras at the various voting centres as the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) gathers on Saturday (4 November) to elect a flagbearer for Election 2024.

The police say sufficient security measures have been put in place to maintain law and order as well as ensure peace and security before, during and after the poll.

“Adequate police personnel have been deployed throughout the country to provide security for the elections,” the police said in a statement.

“As an additional layer of security, police body-worn cameras will also be deployed at all the voting centres,” the statement added.
