Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the 2024 running mate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has called on members of the party to remain steadfast, united, and committed to the core ideals of the Danquah-Busia-Dombo tradition as the NPP holds its National Delegates Conference in Accra.
In a message shared via his official Facebook page, Dr Opoku Prempeh, popularly known as “NAPO”—praised the NPP’s historical resilience and urged delegates to use the moment for reflection and recommitment.
“One of the enduring strengths of the Danquah-Busia-Dombo tradition has been our resilience and the ability to withstand trials and remain united through every storm,” he wrote.
“From our earliest days, we have faced challenges, yet we have always stood firm as a tradition rooted in principle, conviction, and purpose.”
With thousands of party delegates gathering in the capital, the conference is expected to shape key strategic decisions ahead of the crucial December 2024 general elections.
The event comes at a time when the NPP is seeking to consolidate its base and present a united front to the electorate.
“As we enter this important period of reflection,” Dr Opoku Prempeh continued, “I encourage us all to stand strong and to defend our heritage, renew our commitment, and continue building with resolve.”
