C/R: Father who allegedly buried son alive remanded

Paul Adobaw allegedly buried his under two-year-old son alive on the orders of a spiritualist to avert bad omen

The Breman Asikuma magistrate court has remanded into police custody the man accused of burying his child alive.

The suspect has been remanded until 31 August 2021.

The suspect Paul Adobaw, alias Okor, is said to have buried his one-and-half-year-old child Yaw Adobaw with the support of his landlord and a spiritualist who are currently on the run.

The father of five was allegedly ordered by the spiritualist, Ama Nkansah, to kill the child believed to have been possessed by evil spirits hence his inability to walk or talk since birth.

The suspect together with the landlady and the spiritualist decided to bury the child at the back of the their house which is near a river but luck eluded them when they were chanced upon by the complainant, Abubakar Muhammed.

The body has since been exhumed.

Meanwhile, the police have intensified search for the spiritualist and landlord who aided Adobaw in burying the boy alive.
