A section of the girls’ dormitory of the Nsutaman Catholic Senior High School in the Sekyere Central District capital Nsuta of the Ashanti Region has been gutted by fire.
No student got injured in the incident, school officials have confirmed.
It is the second fire incident in less than 24 hours at the same spot as officials say the students were all “safe and well” and had been moved to separate locations within the school.
The fire destroyed properties of students running into thousands of Ghana Cedis. Firefighting officials are yet to establish the actual cause of the fire.
A teacher who wants to remain anonymous has expressed fears that the situation could disrupt academic work.
