NPP pledges to reconcile with Aduomi ahead of December polls

Stephen Ntim is the new chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP)

Stephen Ntim, the national chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) says he is committed to bringing Kwabena Owusu Aduomi back into the party’s fold.

Aduomi who served as NPP MP for Ejisu, broke ranks  with the party to recontest the just-ended Ejisu by-election as an independent candidate.

Speaking with the media in Ejisu on Tuesday (30 April), Ntim emphasised the importance of unity within the party.

He fears the growing disintegration and dissatisfaction could jeopardise the party’s prospects in the upcoming December polls.

“Some of our members led by Aduomi have the camp [NPP] … as party chairman I’m not very comfortable. We should be able to bring them back to the party’s fold so that come 7 December there would be no surprises,” the party chairman said.
