NPP outdoors Napo as Bawumia’s running mate in Kumasi today
This follows the National Council of the NPP’s confirmation of Matthew Opoku Prempeh (popularly known as Napo) as the running mate to Dr Mahamudu Bawumia

All is set for the official outdooring of the running mate to the presidential candidate for the governing New Patriotic Party, Matthew Opoku Prempeh (popularly known as Napo), today (Tuesday 9 July) at the Jubilee Park in Kumasi.
The outdooring follows the confirmation by the National Council of the NPP of Napo as the running mate to Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.
President Akufo-Addo has officially endorsed the ticket of Mahamudu Bawumia and Matthew Opoku Prempeh for the NPP, expressing firm confidence in their leadership capabilities in the lead-up to the 2024 general election.
Some party stalwarts, including the political strategist Gabby Otchere-Darko, have advised Dr Opoku Prempeh to stay focused and supportive of the presidential candidate to ensure that the NPP wins the election in December.
After the outdooring, the NPP presidential candidate will proceed to the Northern Region to begin another leg of his campaign tour of the five Northern regions.
Starting there, Dr Bawumia plans to move southwards, covering the whole country and connecting with the youth, grass-roots supporters and other important stakeholders along the way.
The primary objective of the campaign is to engage with every Ghanaian citizen and to shed light on the NPP’s accomplishments while articulating Dr Bawumia’s transformative vision for Ghana’s future.
With a focus on inclusivity and progress, the campaign is poised to address pressing issues and solicit feedback from many different segments of the population.
